Its business model is based upon world class quality and delivery performance service, where all products are distributed worldwide from a centralized logistics center, supervised by its global supply chain. The customer challenged Enics with the improvement of their outbound delivery performance, reducing the costs and at the same time securing demand for very high quality.
Solution
We answered the challenges with: - A well analyzed and monitored Product and Technology Transfer of some products to Enics Plant in Beijing.
- A single point of contact concept between the Customer and Malmö, Sweden’s Customer Focus Team, monitoring the total Q-D-C performance for the Customer, both locally and with the Customer Focus Team in Beijing.
- Implementation of a Vendor Managed Inventory at the Customer’s centralized logistics hub, focused on the Customer’s daily outbound delivery performance.
- Very early involvement in new R&D projects, optimizing production capabilities (including cooperation with a competent partner) due to Q-D-C and short time-to-market
The challenges have been fulfilled - Quality level >96% first pass product yield
- Delivery performance >99%.
