Smooth Product and Technology Transfer

Background

The Customer is a major industrial OEM company in the electricity and automation management business, introducing and ramping up many new products in a fast growing market worldwide.

Challenge

The customer challenged Enics with a request to support the introduction of many new products in parallel markets with high time-to-market demands, complying with specified cost targets from NPI through the whole life cycle.

Solution

Enics answered the customer’s challenges with:
• A smooth product and technology transfer to Enics’ plant in Beijing, monitored by the Customer Focus Team in Malmö, accomplished by means of well-planned time schedules, product cost controls, a clear, concise transfer budget, and the establishment of delivery dates and quality targets.
• A single point of contact concept between the customer and Malmö’s Customer Focus Team, monitoring the total Q-D-C (Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance toward the Customer, both locally and by the Customer Focus Team in Beijing.
• Very early involvement in new R&D projects, optimizing production ability due to Q-D-C and short time-to-market.
• Increased supply chain involvement from Asia, coordinated by the local sourcing resources at the Enics plant in Beijing.
