Quality, On Time Delivery and Cost Cutting for Medical Equipment

Background

The customer is a global leader in the development and supply of medical equipment. Due to the fact that the products handle life critical situations, the requirements for quality are extremely high. There is a great need for the customer’s products on the market and a reliable supplier is a must.

Challenge

The customer needed a partner capable of supplying them with products produced according to IPC-A-610D class III, including full traceability, which is a real challenge due to the complexity of the PCBAs. Enics’ challenge was also to produce these PCBAs with a high On Time Delivery, and close attention to cost cutting programs requiring active monitoring of the global component market.

Solution

The customer trusted Enics with the above challenges. Production according to IPC 610 class III requires skilled personnel, and Enics invested in equipment and the training of personnel in the production that was needed. The Enics Customer Focus Team for this customer ensures that all demands from the customer regarding quality in production, on-time-delivery (OTD) and cost cutting programs are fulfilled.

Enics had an OTD of 100% several months in a row and a FPY above 96%. Close cooperation and communication between this Enics team and the customer are requirements on all levels to be able to fulfill the customer’s needs. This is secured through dedicated work within the Customer Focus Team regarding all the above areas, regular meetings with the customer and quick Engineering Change Order (ECO) handling.
