Co-determination Negotiations Concerning Enics Vaasa Have Ended

Enics, one of the World’s leading Electronics Manufacturing Services provider focusing on Industrial and Medical Electronics, has concluded co-determination negotiations concerning employees of its Vaasa Unit.

As the result of co-determination negations, Enics will reduce 65 jobs in Vaasa. The redundancies will apply to 57 plant workers and 8 office workers. In addition to this, contracts of approximately 20 temporary workers will end during this spring and 7 employees will retire during 2008.

Enics Vaasa Unit will concentrate on customer service, final assembly, pre-manufacturing and after sales services. The PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing and final testing will be done in Lohja. The goal of these plans is to develop operations, so that it will create best possible conditions to operate efficiently and remain competitive in Finland.

Enics employs approximately 700 people in Finland. The Finnish units are located in Lohja, Vaasa and Varkaus. Enics also operates in China, Estonia, Sweden, Slovakia and Switzerland. Enics employs 2700 people worldwide.
